[Excerpt​]
In the design of our new brand HARETA launched last year, in addition to the experiments using a 3D printer, we had outsourced the liquid behavior simulation using Particleworks to Prometech, as there was a desire to verify design more scientifically.
The achievement this time is that we could calculate the velocity gradient. Though we knew that there was a velocity gradient, but the simulation made it possible to observe how much it affected the whole flow-down phenomenon.

Improving the performance of domestic wet area products: Introduction of Particleworks and the Moving Particle Simulation method for fluid analysis​
[Excerpt​]
I had often analyzed air flow and heat by applying FVM, and in free surface analysis, I had simulated the cleaning performance of toilet bowls, but there were some fields where FVM could not be applied. For example, it is difficult to apply FVM to evaluate the numerous minute droplets of a bathroom shower. It was then I found Particleworks and soon discovered the software is capable of stable analysis of intense water surface changes, the generation of splashes, and the coalescence and segmentation of a water mass. I considered that this software was likely to be useful for a variety of different problems, including shower analysis, and I thought I should certainly take advantage of working in a laboratory and looked into taking up the challenge, and so I began examining how best to introduce the software.

The motorcycle business of Honda Motor started in 1948, and has given shape to the wide-ranging joys and fun of riding on two wheels, through such products as the Super Cub, which went on to become the standard for commuter models, and the Dream CB750 Four, which triggered an unprecedented sports bike boom across Japan. The Honda motorcycle business has entered the global market fast and been holding the top world market share. Now it leads the motorcycle industry with its advanced technology having a high valuation from users.
 
We have had the pleasure to interview Mr. Koji Matsui, in the Technology Development Division #2 of Honda R&D Co., Ltd. Motorcycle R&D Center to listen about the bubble behavior simulation in engine lubrication oil using Particleworks.

​We have had the pleasure to interview Mr. Takao Taya, a Manager of Mechanical Engineering Div., Plant Engineering and Facility Management Center, which uses Particleworks as one of their advanced technologies, to hear the simulation examples for the cooling water behavior in the steel manufacturing processes.

Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation is a subsidiary company playing a central part under Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation which is the biggest chemical company group in Japan. It’s been developing various business fields contributing widely to society and opening the future, based on the technical foundations which have been developed over a long period mainly in the chemical domain.

We have had the pleasure to interview Mr. Yasuharu Kikuchi, a Senior Research Associate of the Process Technology Section, the research and development center in the Kurosaki plant located in Kitakyushu-shi, Fukuoka, to hear the case studies using the MPS based software Particleworks in the evaluation of the chemical process.

Maruyama, a time-honored company in business for 120 years, has achieved continuous and long-term development by down-to-earth operation. In addition to keeping the tradition, their design and development site has provided reliable products by introducing innovative technologies. 

​We have had the pleasure to interview Mr. Ichiro Matsuda, a General manager, and Mr. Nobuhiro Yuhashi, Desining Section No.2, in the pump department located at the Chiba factory, to hear the background of introducing Particleworks and simulation examples about the lubrication oil behavior evaluation in an industrial pump. MPS has provided a big advantage for free surface simulation including fast large deformation and circulation, which has never been solved by the grid method CFD software.
